For network configuration of the RW401AP device, we recommend using the Munbyn Print App to facilitate the process as it provides a more convenient and intuitive way to complete settings, including connecting to Wi-Fi networks.
However, if your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can also simplify the network setup process by using the WPS quick connect feature.
WPS is a network security standard that allows users to connect devices by pressing the WPS button on the router (or enabling the WPS function in the interface) without having to manually enter the network name and password. When using this feature, please follow these steps:
- Ensure that your router is turned on and supports the WPS function.
- Locate and press the WPS pairing button on the router (or enable the WPS function through the router’s management interface).
- Power up the RW401AP device, hold down the green button on top of the machine, and release it after hearing four consecutive "beep" sounds, putting the device into WPS pairing mode.
- The device will automatically search for and connect to the WPS signal emitted by the router. During this process, the white Wi-Fi indicator light on top of the device will flash continuously. When the indicator light turns solid white, it indicates that the network configuration of the device has been successful.
The operation video is as follows:
Please be aware that not all routers support WPS, and some devices may require additional configuration when using a WPS connection. Furthermore, due to security concerns, the WPS feature may be disabled in certain environments, as it has potential security vulnerabilities. We must always ensure that you understand the security implications of the actions you take and configure them appropriately according to personal or organizational security policies.
