NOTE: Please power off the Counter before the adjustment!
Reasons that might require readjusting the feeding gap are:
- The banknotes are not fed smoothly through the machine.
- Bill Double Error, Chain Notes Error, Half Notes Error.
- The counting of new or minted condition bills.
- The counting of poor or badly deteriorated bills. (No suggested)
- Polymer notes and paper-made notes counted together.
Below is the instruction for adjusting the feeding gap of the hopper:
The screw above is used to control the width of the feeding gap. You can use a coin to adjust the gap easily. The width will become bigger by rotating the screw clockwise. Turn counterclockwise to decrease the gap.
Insert one banknote into the gap between the rollers to check if the banknote can be inserted smoothly, as shown in the following. If the banknote can't be inserted smoothly, it means the feeding gap is too small. Please rotate the screw clockwise for 30° and then check with the banknote again.
If you find two banknotes can be inserted into the feeding gap, it means the feeding gap is too big. Please rotate the screw counterclockwise for 60° and then check again.
You may need to do some trial and error before getting it perfectly smooth.
